Secure Enterprise Technology Initiatives

Our Mission
Secure Enterprise Technology Initiatives (SETI) develops secure applications, middleware, and interfaces to support the university’s computing and network services. The department works in conjunction with the IT Security Office to enforce auditable security standards that address privacy issues while providing a balance between system usability and system security. SETI research and development initiatives will exploit leading edge, innovative technologies to enhance the ability of Virginia Tech affiliates to interact securely with new and existing computing and networking services.
