Mary Dunker is Director of Secure Enterprise Technology Initiatives (SETI). A graduate of Hollins University, she began her IT career as a systems programmer at Virginia Tech in 1978. With an extensive background in operating systems support, she earned the SANS GIAC Security Essentials Certification in 2004 and became involved in efforts to secure the university's information technology infrastructure. The SETI department has implemented an Enterprise Directory, Public Key Infrastructure, the university's portal framework and Microsoft Active Directory services. Mary chairs Virginia Tech's IT Security Task Force.
