Brenda van Gelder holds the position of Program Director for Virginia Tech's large-scale advanced network infrastructure initiative known as eCorridors. During her 16 years of employment with the university, Ms. van Gelder has participated as a member of a number of national working groups focused on broadband policy issues, K-20 access to Internet2, and has directed a number of special research efforts focused on policy and regulatory issues associated with municipal telecommunications. Ms. van Gelder has made numerous presentations to key legislators, FCC officials, and community leaders regarding the economic advantages and benefits of the deployment of advanced network infrastructure leveraging various technologies. Ms. van Gelder has a M.S. degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.
